Able-Living Electric Adjustable Care Bed - Home Care, Dual Massage, 180kg Capacity

Product Description

Urban Culture Homes Lo Lo Electric Adjustable Bed

Safety, comfort, and independence — all in one bed. The Urban Culture Homes Lo Lo Electric Adjustable Bed is an ultra-low care bed engineered for home care, aged care, and rehabilitation environments where fall prevention and personalised comfort are the highest priorities.

With a minimum height of just 210mm from the floor to the top of the bed platform, the Lo Lo dramatically reduces the risk and impact of falls for vulnerable users. When needed, the bed raises to a maximum height of 740mm to assist carers with repositioning, personal care, and daily routines — reducing physical strain and making every task easier and safer for everyone involved.

Powered by four silent Okin motors with CE and RoHS certified performance, the Lo Lo adjusts smoothly and quietly at the touch of a button. The wireless remote puts full control in the hands of the user, allowing them to independently adjust head lift, back lift, and bed height without assistance. A child lock prevents accidental operation, and the battery backup function ensures the bed can still be adjusted safely in the event of a power outage.

But the Lo Lo is more than just a care bed. Dual massage capabilities with three wave modes and a programmable massage timer transform it into a genuinely comfortable sleep environment. Underbed lighting provides gentle illumination for night-time movements, and dual USB charging ports keep devices within reach. Two detachable handrails with pocket bags are included, providing extra security and convenient bedside storage.

The sturdy powder-coated metal frame is built for long-term use in demanding care environments, and the eight lockable castors allow the bed to be repositioned easily while staying firmly in place during use. The side anti-stain and water cover, combined with the non-slip bottom fabric, ensure the bed remains hygienic and practical over the long term.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Lo Lo bed and who is it designed for?

A: A Lo Lo bed, short for low-low bed, is a specialised care bed designed to sit at an exceptionally low height from the floor. The Urban Culture Homes Lo Lo can be lowered to just 210mm from the floor to the top of the bed platform, significantly reducing the risk and severity of falls for elderly users, individuals with dementia, or anyone in a rehabilitation or home care setting who is at heightened risk of falling during the night.

Q: How does the height adjustment work?

A: The bed is powered by four silent Okin motors that raise and lower the bed platform at the touch of a button on the wireless remote. The bed adjusts continuously between 210mm and 740mm, giving users and carers full flexibility to set the right height for sleeping, resting, or receiving personal care. All adjustments are smooth, quiet, and easy to operate independently.

Q: What massage functions does the bed offer?

A: The Lo Lo features dual massage capabilities with three wave modes, allowing users to choose the style and intensity of massage that suits them best. The programmable timer can be set to automatically switch off after 10, 20, or 30 minutes, so users can enjoy a relaxing massage without needing to manually turn it off before falling asleep.

Q: What happens if there is a power outage?

A: The Lo Lo includes a battery backup function that allows the bed to continue operating during a power outage. Please note that the 9V batteries and screwdriver required to activate the backup function are not included and will need to be purchased separately. We recommend keeping these on hand so the backup function is ready to use if needed.

Q: Are the handrails easy to attach and remove?

A: Yes. The two included handrails are designed to be detachable, allowing them to be fitted or removed quickly without tools. Each handrail includes a pocket bag for convenient bedside storage of remotes, glasses, phones, or other essentials. The handrails provide additional security and peace of mind for users who need extra support when getting in and out of bed.

Q: Is the underbed lighting useful and can it be turned off?

A: The underbed lighting provides a soft, low-level glow beneath the bed that is ideal for night-time visibility. It gives users enough light to safely get up without the disorientation of turning on a bright overhead light. It can be controlled via the wireless remote and turned off when not needed.

Q: What does the child lock function do?

A: The child lock prevents the bed from being adjusted accidentally by children or others who should not be operating the controls. It is particularly useful in home environments where young children are present, or in care settings where unsupervised adjustment of the bed could pose a safety risk.

Q: Is this bed compatible with a standard mattress?

A: Yes. The Lo Lo is designed to be used with a standard mattress and includes an easy-click single centre retainer bar to keep the mattress securely in position on the bed platform. As the bed adjusts through various positions, the retainer bar prevents the mattress from shifting. Please ensure your mattress is appropriately flexible if you plan to use the head and back lift positions.

Q: Can the castors be locked?

A: Yes. The Lo Lo is fitted with eight lockable castors that allow the bed to be repositioned easily when needed and then locked firmly in place during use. This prevents the bed from rolling unexpectedly and ensures a stable, safe environment for the user at all times.

Q: What does the warranty cover?

A: The warranty reflects the quality and longevity built into this product. The powder-coated metal frame is covered for 10 years, the motor system is covered for 2 years, and the handset, control box, castors, mechanical components, bed extensions, and accessories are all covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects under normal use conditions.
